Project Vision:

The organization will replace the current SAP cloud solution with a purpose-built, cloud-native ERP platform that manages the end-to-end lifecycle of the pawn business. The new solution will eliminate media breaks, reduce manual work and customization overhead, and provide a scalable foundation for branch expansion - while improving data quality, reporting, and financial control. 

Project Highlights: 

• Long-term engagement - the project is planned to run at least through the end of 2027, with strong potential for continuation
• Client based in Germany - close, day-to-day communication will take place in German
• Distributed team - currently includes a CTO, architect, designer, and product owner, with the team set to grow as the project scales
• Real impact - you'll help build the product from the ground up, rather than maintain a legacy system

Responsibilities

• Drive requirements elicitation with the client - proactively identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and pushing for clarity rather than passively taking input
• Refine requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tickets (user stories, tasks)
• Build and prioritize the product backlog in line with business goals and project constraints
• Make product decisions as a true product owner - critically evaluating input rather than simply implementing requests as given
• Coordinate the development team and proactively resolve blockers
• Foster a positive, productive team atmosphere

Requirements

• Fluent German (С1) is essential - the project runs entirely in German
• 5+ years of hands-on commercial experience as a BA/PM/PO
• Proven track record on technically complex, large-scale projects; experience in finance, insurance, or lending domains is a strong plus
• Strong analytical and critical thinking, with the ability to make sound product decisions independently
• Solid experience gathering requirements, managing a backlog, and prioritizing scope
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels
• English - B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or above
• Technical background is a plus
