How we developed a web application that brings online construction professionals in the UK

HAAST is a London-based company that provides construction services in the Hertfordshire area.

Challenges

The customer had a half-done Angular application and needed to create a mobile solution. Operating on a tight budget, the company was looking for ways to cut costs while saving quality.

The project's principal goal was to quickly launch the app in the market.

Solution

First and foremost, our specialists made a business analysis to ensure that the future product would fit the real industry-specific needs. As a result, the team realized that we should drastically change the current solution. The revisited specification list included many new suggestions. The team decided to:

• Modify the current web application instead of building a new mobile application from scratch;
• Implement a documents import/export feature instead of introducing a full-fledged e-document flow;
• Report finance information instead of developing a payment system for many contractors‍

The design was based on Eva – Akveo Open Source Customizable Design System. The system allowed us to create a web app in a Firebase brand style including the corresponding typography and handcrafted elements. 

By making use of this innovative product that reduces design efforts by 40%, the customer saved both time and costs.

1. The team of designers came up with the design of the web application twice time faster than planned.
