How we developed a mobile banking app and reduced time-to-market with React Native
The banking domain in the client’s region is extremely dynamic and competitive. On average, there are more than 20 banks per country, so user acquisition costs are incredibly high.
The customer intended to become the first bank in its country in terms of digital services. To do so, the bank’s technical department had to prove its ability to build solutions fast and on budget. With that goal in mind, the team of Akveo decided to use a cross-platform solution.
How We Built a Mobile Application For Mobile Homes Owners
The client wanted to digitize its business as motorhomes contain many different electronic devices such as fridges, TVs, etc. The project's goal was to provide convenient control over the lighting, heater, air conditioning, and satellite systems via the mobile application.
The application was built using React Native with TypeScript and MobX for state management. To unify the communication between the mobile app, backend, and SCU, we developed a custom protocol based on Protocol Buffers.
How we developed a quality branded design of a mobile app and saved thousands of dollars for the client
The client wanted to develop a mobile application within 60 days on a limited budget. Hence, our task was to provide a solution that would allow us to quickly create a quality brand app and stay on the specified budget.
The use of React Native UI Kitten allowed to reduce front-end development time by 25% and save thousands of dollars. The outcome of the project is a multifunctional mobile application with a set of custom icons and illustrations.
The mobile application ZF CAR CONNECT for driver assistance
Our team delivered platform-agnostic mobile app development for iOS/Android and back-end development. Following the successful implementation of the proof of concept, Akveo developed a fully functional application with Chinese localization.
Following the business analysis, we suggested embedding a scope of new features to the current application instead of developing a new one from scratch. That decision helped us reducing time to market fourfold.
How we built iOS, Android, and web apps for a startup for the price of one
The client self-funded the startup, so the budget was quite limited. Initially, there was no clear scope, so our developers needed to discuss the requirements and suggest alternative approaches. The client also wanted to build a serverless application so that some platform would manage the backend.
Akveo used Ionic as the base framework to support iOS, Android, and Web platforms within a single codebase. Our team decided to use Ionic 2 with Angular 2, despite Angular being still in the release candidate state.
How we reduced app development and maintenance costs by 70% for an IT Company
The client originally requested Akveo to develop new features for existing application written in older version of Phonegap. During analysis phase we identified that if technology would be switched to React Native, new feature development, maintenance costs can be significantly decreased while application performance and user friendliness will be improved.
It was also important to keep compatibility with existing the database and API. The application had to be offline first, data synchronization should happen when internet connection is available.
