We are looking for Python Developer to work on our client's productโZing.
Zing โ the first network of mobile cafes leveraging data and advanced algorithms to optimize the suburban coffee experience. As more people work from home and the classic idea of suburban living evolves, Zing is determined to provide suburban commercial convenience that rivals anything in cities.
Zing creates magic by putting the right goods and experiences, at the right place and time, into customersโ lives.
The product consists of a mobile application for iOS and Android, written in React Native, and a backend in Python (with sqlalchemy for the database) and AWS (CDK, Lambda, DDB, RDS (MySQL), API Gateway, AppSync). The user sees coffee trucks on the map, can choose the one closest to him and place an order.
In the current production version, a third-party Flip disk system is used to display the menu, order, and payment.
When ordering, we simply open a web view with their website and allow the user to place an order there. Then we detect the order number by url and send it to the back, so it will be determined which order the user has made. Then the back pulls out the hooks and their API and sends us updates. However, the customer is dissatisfied with the integration with FlipDish, and right now they are developing their own functionality for menus, orders, and payments. Payment will be made via Stripe.
Determining the location of cars on the map is also implemented through a third-party platform, Onefleet. It is a separate mobile application running on the truck driver's phone, which reports his location to the OneFleet server. And from there, the Zing backend receives data via the API and sends updates to the Zing mobile application. In the long-term plans, this part will also be rewritten in-house.
Also, recently, a second on demand mode has been added, where you can call a truck directly to a given point, like an Uber.
